A 31km point-to-point mountain race from Sierre (~570m) to Zinal (1,675m) in the Swiss Valais, run beneath five 4,000m peaks: Weisshorn, Zinalrothorn, Obergabelhorn, Matterhorn and Dent Blanche. 2,200m of elevation gain, 1,100m of descent, highest point ~2,400m on the traverse past Nava. Held every August since 1974, around 5,000 participants across Runners and Tourist categories. Part of the Golden Trail World Series. Course records: 2:25:35 (Kilian Jornet, 2019) and 2:46:03 (Maude Mathys, 2021).
